Mind Racing At 1AM? You’re not alone. -by Taha Tariq

There’s a weird time of night when everything just hits harder. You’re lying in bed, lights off, the world is quiet but your brain feels like it is running laps. Wide Awake. Every unfinished task, awkward moment, random worry, future plan, and regret from years ago decides it’s their moment to shine. It’s not even useful overthinking. It’s just a spiral of noise in your head that won’t stop. The day is full of distractions. You’re moving around, talking to people, checking your phone, staying busy. But once things slow down and the distractions fade, your mind starts to fill the silence. That’s when all the thoughts you didn’t have time to process earlier come flooding in. And sometimes, they don’t stop. You tell yourself to stop thinking and just sleep. But the harder you try, the worse it gets. You get mad at yourself for being awake, which makes your body tense up even more. Now you’re not just tired, you’re frustrated. That frustration turns into stress and the stress makes i...

Why it’s okay to not always be happy -by Taha Tariq

People often feel like they need to be happy all the time. And Social media makes it worse. You go online and see people post their “perfect” lives laughing with friends, going on trips, winning awards etc. which is often polished. After a while, it starts to feel like everyone else is doing fine, and you’re the only one struggling. But here’s the truth: feeling sad, tired, angry, bored, or just off is completely normal. All emotions matter. You weren’t made to feel only one kind of way and emotions are the only thing which separates you from a robot. Let’s be real, happiness is not something you can hold onto forever. Some days are great while some aren't. That doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you. It just means you’re human. There’s nothing to fix when you’re having a bad day. It doesn’t mean you’re weak or unmotivated. Feeling sad, angry or confused is a part of life. The main problem is that society pushes us to hide these feelings or cope with them right away- which can m...

Why Saying “No” Is Important For Your Mental Health -by Taha Tariq

In a world that is always asking more from you, saying “no” feels almost impossible sometimes. Maybe you feel like you have to say yes to everything to friends, family, work, school, or social events. You worry about letting people down or missing out or just get socially pressured into saying “Yes”. But here’s the thing: constantly saying yes can actually hurt your mental health more than you think. When you say yes all the time, you barely get to make time for yourself and for the things you actually care about. You usually end up stressed, exhausted, and overwhelmed. Your to-do list grows so long that it feels immanageable and suddenly even fun things start to become just another chore for you. That feeling of burnout sneaks up on you because you simply never took or made time for yourself. Saying no isn’t about being rude or selfish. It’s about protecting your energy. It’s basically a way of saying, “I matter too.” When you set boundaries and turn down some requests, you crea...

When You Just Want To Disappear For A Bit (But Don’t Know Why) - Taha Tariq

Image
Ever felt like disappearing for a while? Not in a dramatic way. Just like... turning your phone off, ignoring everyone, and hiding under a blanket for a day or two? Yeah. That feeling? It’s real and way more common than people talk about. Sometimes life gets loud. Not just with noise, but with expectations. Texts to answer. Assignments due. People asking for energy you don’t even have. You're trying to keep up, but your mind’s just running in the background like, “Yeah man I’m not tryna work, gimme a break.” It doesn’t mean you’re lazy, weak, or antisocial. It just means you’re overstimulated and undersupported. You're not failing, you're fried. This kind of mental overload can sneak up on anyone, no matter how strong you feel or are. If you still didn’t get it: Your Brain Wants a Break -Not an Exit That “disappearing” urge? It’s your brain waving a white flag just like in the cartoons. It’s not about escaping forever. It’s about finally getting to let out a deep exhale. We...
